AVID Mission

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness system for elementary through higher education that is designed to increase school-wide learning and performance. The AVID College Readiness System (ACRS) accelerates student learning, uses research-based methods of effective instruction, provides meaningful and motivational professional learning, and acts as a catalyst for systematic reform and change.

The Bloomington High School Instrumental Music Department strives to expand and solidify the knowledge, technique, and skill of all students as musicians; Develop leadership, teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and accountability; Foster insight into the mind to create a performance with understanding and meaning; To instill good citizenship by contributing to the cultural life of community through performance at schools, other public places and events; To instill deep love and enjoyment of music that will enrich the student through their lives and help them overcome the challenges as they enter the 21st Century.

The BHS Business and Entrepreneurship Pathway is a Linked Learning Pathway designed as a multi-year, comprehensive course of study that engages students through project-based learning in the classroom paired with career exposure and practical application in a real-world setting. Core academic classes combine with pathway electives to prepare students for both college and career while providing personalized student support systems (academic, emotional, social, college, and career guidance).

Business & Entrepreneurship Pathway Presentation

This pathway is designed so that students will be able to follow an engineering-specific pathway. This is designed as a multi-year, comprehensive program that engages them through project-based learning in the classroom. The students will have career exposure and practical applications in a real-world setting.
